It’s been a long time since I've been to Boots.. It’s all part of the haul cutting down process… But this is the first time I went to Boots looking for a specific product… And yes what I landed with, in the end, at the counter, is a whole different story... So I heard that the Botanics Cleansing Balm was pretty comparable to the high end brands and I've been dying to try one and since I cannot afford the Emma Hardie Moringa Balm I went in search of cheaper alternatives.. So today exploring Boots is all about this & Boots Gorgeous Feet…
1) Botanics Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm - 65 ml - AED 70 – This is a basically a makeup remover with a different texture and consistency…. It’s a hard yellow balm-ish product and once when you scoop it out and rub it between your fingers, it melts like butter... How wonderful is that… Slowly and gently massage it onto your face and eyes... Take special care not to get it in your eyes and to not tug at the skin around the eyes.. Just smooth it over your eyelashes and let it work its magic to remove those stubborn layers of mascara.. Now after all this you might end up looking like you lost the battle with a bear... But don’t worry.. This product comes with a wash cloth.. Simply wet it with warm water and lay it over your face… The warmth will lift up the impurities and gently wipe your face to remove all the dissolved makeup… Bam… Your face is all clean but not dry & tight .. I love this stuff and I love the process even though it is a bit time consuming… It makes me feel as though I am doing a facial and I'm all for some pamper time ... it is a blend of some awesome ingredients like Shea Butter, Rosehip & Jojoba Oil and best of all it is 97% organic and formulated without parabens...But the only issue is after I wipe away all the makeup and grime thoroughly I can feel the product between my lashes that makes, at times, my vision blurry.. It can easily be resolved by washing your face with any cleanser and rinsing it well... It has a very clean and subtle scent.. I truly recommend this to all, just try it out as it is a totally different experience...
2) Boots Gorgeous Feet - 150 ml - AED 15 – I picked it from the basket marked at AED 15, besides the counter. When I tell you my hands & feet are in bad shape I am dead serious.. So I am always on the lookout for products marked as Intensive & Extreme… I did not have much hope in this product since Boots products are a bit mweh for me.. It’s a white thick cream in a screw open glass jar with a pink lid!!! I tried it for a week & I love it.. It’s super thick and moisturizing but not all that greasy.. I’ve used it as both day & night treatment.. I really felt my feet condition was improving and my scars and hyper pigmentation were fading.. Then I had to stop using it for a while because it was getting over & I needed a snap to review it and now my feet are back to square one… So I’m definitely repurchasing this wondrous product..It’s a dependable one to have, to comfort you in the upcoming winter months.. And the fragrance is a non sickly sweet light weight scent..
So that’s it guys… Do try out these products and do let me know how you like them…
